Muse

Celebrating Muse

This month, we are thrilled to spotlight the incredibly inspiring and dynamic Muse, a multifaceted creative force dedicated to empowering Black women and transforming lives through her unique vision and purpose.

Muse, a southwest-based southern belle from Mississippi, is on a mission to invite Black women back to their bodies, to curiosity, to boldness, to joy. Her journey has been anything but ordinary, steeped in her purpose as a human being. Fourteen years ago, she moved to the desert of Arizona with just a few dollars, a handful of dreams, and a job in Major League Baseball. Initially, The desert felt overwhelming, and she returned to Mississippi. But she kept the faith, knowing she was destined for more.

A year later, she returned to Arizona with renewed determination, a little wiser, and a new job in radio. Since then, Arizona has no longer felt like a desert to her. It's become an oasis where dreams flourish and mirages become a reality.

Muse, originally named Ebone, meaning "hard black wood," is often associated with a dense, black hardwood highly valued for its beauty and strength. Initially, she lived up to this name, feeling rigid and easily breakable. However, Arizona transformed her. She learned to bend rather than break, to flow rather than remain rigid. Over time, she embraced the name "Muse," a source of inspiration for creative artists.

She's always believed that names hold profound meaning, and her journey of understanding her name led her to realize that it encapsulates her evolution. From being rigid to becoming a source of inspiration, her name reflects her growth and the essence of who she is as a human being.

Muse is deeply committed to promoting health and wellness for all, mainly focusing on natural healing and holistic living. Since 2018, she has been a business owner and breeder in Michigan, managing Gage Green Group and the Seed Bank with her partner, Michael. Together, they create wellness products that promote healing and humanity. As a raw vegan chef and herbalist, she spreads the wellness gospel, teaching regenerative natural living practices.

Join us in celebrating Muse's journey and her incredible contributions to the community. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience, creativity, and the profound impact of embracing one's true self.
